Club Competitions Finals Nights
April 7th, 2010The Club Competitions finals nights have been decided. They are:
27 April 2010 for Ladies and Cedric Best
Congratulations to our finalists: Mary Hind will play Helen Walters in the ladies – scheduled start 7:00; Eddie Lager will play Paul Best in the Cedric Best – scheduled start 7:45.
4 May 2010 for Vets, Cedric Best Plate and Juniors.
You need to get your matches played.

The plate competition seems to be off to a bit of a slow start. Perhaps that is my fault as I have only posted the draw here on the web site. I will put up a print out on the club notice board tomorrow – 23rd March
Ladies Competition
There has been no progress on the ladies competition – still lots of time though.

Competitions Update – 28th Feb 2010

Momentum seems to have dropped on playing the second round of the Cedric Best. While we have to stick to the timescale there is no desire to press on with default results where ties are not played.
Nag emails have been sent to all those (and I have nagged myself) who have yet to play. Please get your games played asap.

Veteran’s Competion
If the momentum has dropped in the Cedric Best it has been really slow in the Veterans’. Thanks to all those who have played your matches. Those running behind time have been nagged. Results will go to defaults if I do not get all outstanding results in this week.

Ladies Competition
The draw for the ladies competition will be made in the next week. There is still time for any late entrants.
Plate Competition
The draw for the plate competition will be made next Sunday, 7 March. Anyone dropping out without playing their first matches will not be included in the draw for the plate.

The Plate Competition
The plate competition will be made up of the players who lose their first round matches. Those players who received a bye into the 2nd round and who lose their 2nd round match will also be entered into the plate. Players who concede their first matches without playing will not be eligible for the plate.
Players highlighted in yellow are still eligible for the plate. Players highlighted in turquoise have already been entered into the plate draw.
